...“This hotel was very good. Almost over-friendly staff, beautiful room, nice breakfast, good advice, and free internet. We paid a little extra and got a room with a huge TV, Jacuzzi and hi fi! Amazing. Location was good too, walking distance from the sights, the bars, the restaurants etc.
If you are stopping in Hue for a day or two, then definitely stay here.”

“The best thing about the orchid is the incredibly friendly staff. The location is OK, most of the hotels in Hue are gathered in the "european city" over the river from the citadel and so is the orchid. This is good for bars and restaurants but not so good for the historical sights. A curious touch about this hotel is the DVD library it holds at reception. When the heat of the day gets too much or your feet are barking after a long day wandering through the imperial city it's very nice to come back to the hotel and have a little break with one of the latest hollywood/bollywood/arthouse flicks.
We opted for a romantic room, which was very spacious and had a few bizarre touches (two-seater jacuzzi bath, illuminated fish tank, heart shaped furniture) which I personally loved.”
