...“This is an outstanding hotel. The main building was the French governor’s mansion and is beautifully restored. There are also two hotel room wings. My room was a “deluxe” room in the main building and it was extremely well appointed, with a high ceiling and ceiling fan in addition to the AC. Good size room, well maintained and clean. The only complaint is that there was insufficient lighting for my taste. I believe the rooms in the hotel wings are not quite as well appointed, but are also slightly cheaper.
The hotel is in a nice setting and includes a large pool. No mosquitoes despite what another review stated. Also provides a decent fitness center and a spa (I didn’t use this).
The hotel restaurant is fantastic. A breakfast buffet is included in the room rate and it features a large and varied selection of hot and cold items. Other meals are also very good and a variety of Vietnamese and western food is offered. There is also a pleasant bar with live music and a pool bar.
Service is outstanding; the only drawback is that the level of English fluency is bit uneven for a hotel that caters to western tourists.
Free internet service is provided on six computers in a small, but attractive library.”
